The plot twists are genuinely some of the best I’ve ever read, without being too far-fetched. I had so many theories running through my head with every page, and as details were revealed, my jaw was consistently on the floor in the best way! The twists weren’t just added for shock value; they were intricate and realistic parts of the story that kept me engaged and guessing.

Sexual Content: **/*****

There are no explicit sex scenes at all in this book, although the topic of sex is occasionally brought up. Some themes of teenage desire are discussed, and some themes of sex within marriage are written about, but nothing is described in detail. This is by no means a spicy book, if that’s something you don’t enjoy.

Profanity: ***/*****

The profanity in this book was by no means overwhelming. It was used “appropriately” throughout the story and wasn’t simply used for shock value or filler.

Character Development: *****/*****

These are some of the greatest characters I’ve ever read about in a thriller. I felt genuinely connected to these women, to their friendships with one another, and to the various life experiences they all endured during this story.

Political Agenda: **/*****

I felt that there was very little political agenda presented throughout this story, and I did not feel as though any politically “correct” opinions were pushed on me.

My Thoughts: This is one of my all-time favorite books, and I hope this review convinces you that it will be one of your favorites too! I finished this book in only a couple of days, and it was one that absorbed me so much with every turned page. I will never forget how the setting descriptions and the events that took place were so vivid, rich, and beautiful, making me feel as though I was there and experiencing the story myself.

If you’re looking for a story you can’t put down, that engages all your senses, and gives you a longing for the book never to end, you just found it!
