Review by: Madeline Hobbs

The Reunion is one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read, and I flew through it. It’s the perfect summer read if you’re looking for something set in the warmer weather, with flashbacks to a fateful wintery night. Check out the review below to find out if you’ll love this one as much as I did!

Synopsis: Twenty-five years ago, a student vanished from a prestigious French boarding school—her body never found. Now, a group of former classmates reunite at the school for the first time since her disappearance. But secrets that were meant to stay buried begin to surface… and someone will do anything to keep the truth hidden.

The Reunion is a smart, suspenseful thriller full of dark twists, deadly lies, and the haunting grip of the past.

TW: Themes of violence, abuse, loss, and murder are present.

My Thoughts: This is a book I’ve thought about at least once a week since I read it. The ending was satisfactorily shocking, and every twist that brought me there had me picking my jaw up off the floor. The ending didn’t agree with some of my personal beliefs and there were a decent number of politically correct statements and characters, but that doesn’t negate the fact that this was an incredible book.

The characters, setting, and dual timelines all assist in making this an edge of your seat, nail biting thriller that I finished in less than 48 hours. Not to mention, the premise is unique and sets this story apart from typical university thrillers. Everything about it was to die for!
