Review by: Madeline Hobbs

Alice Feeney is an author I’m quickly coming to love! His & Hers is the first novel I’ve read by her, but I’m already moving on to others. Feeney is taking the book world by storm, and I am here for it! Find out why this book should 1,000% be on your TBR with the review below.

Synopsis: His & Hers by Alice Feeney is a gripping psychological thriller told from two conflicting perspectives: a BBC news anchor and a detective – ex-spouses entangled in a chilling murder case. As the body count rises, each believes the other might be guilty. But someone else knows the truth—and they’re not done killing. Twisty, dark, and full of shocking revelations, this is a story where lies are layered, and no one can be trusted.

TW: Themes of child loss, sexual assault, ED, bullying, alcoholism, and violence are present.

My Thoughts: This is the first book I’ve given five stars in a while, but this one deserves it more than any other. I started and finished this book over a long weekend, and it was one of those that made me want to lock myself in a room just so there was no chance I would be interrupted. The characters in this story are incredibly well described, and the result of who they are in the present-day narratives because of the past and the events that took place there enrich this story so much. You will genuinely be guessing until the final page, and even the things you thought you knew get flipped on their heads. The audiobook for this story is also exceptional, so if you’re more of a listener than a reader, add this one to cart!
